Warranty
What is covered on the hardware, software, and services we supply, how long it lasts, and how to make a claim without dealing with a vendor call center.
Last updated: November 1, 2026
1. Manufacturer warranty pass-through
Every hardware product we sell is sourced through authorized channels and carries the manufacturer's standard warranty in full. Because we are an authorized reseller, that warranty is valid and registered in your organization's name from the date of invoice. Business-class laptops, desktops, and servers typically include 1–3 years of coverage; networking, storage, and peripheral warranties vary by product line and are stated on your quote. We register warranties on your behalf and keep the serial-number records so that when a claim is needed, you do not have to find them.
2. Extended and enhanced warranty options
At the time of purchase you can add manufacturer-backed upgrades such as extended terms of up to 5 years, next-business-day on-site repair, accidental-damage protection for devices that travel, keep-your-drive options for data-sensitive environments, and advance-replacement cover for critical network equipment. Extended options are usually far cheaper when purchased with the product than added later, and some cannot be added after the standard term begins. Ask your account manager to include the options that match how each device will be used.
3. What is covered
- Defects in materials and workmanship that appear under normal business use during the warranty period
- Failure of components such as motherboards, drives, memory, power supplies, displays, and batteries (batteries usually carry a shorter term of 12 months)
- Repair or replacement with new or manufacturer-certified equivalent parts, at the manufacturer's discretion
- Return shipping of repaired or replacement units to you
4. What is not covered
- Accidental damage, liquid damage, drops, and cosmetic wear, unless accidental-damage protection was purchased
- Damage caused by misuse, unauthorized modification, incorrect installation, power surges, or environmental conditions outside the manufacturer's specification
- Consumables and normal wear items such as print cartridges, cables, and keycaps
- Software faults, configuration errors, malware, or data loss and the cost of data recovery
- Products with removed or altered serial numbers, or purchased from a source other than GoldenTech KSA
- Labour or travel to remove and reinstall equipment, unless on-site cover was purchased or the work is part of a managed-services agreement
5. Software and subscriptions
Software licenses and cloud subscriptions are provided subject to the publisher's own terms and warranty, which generally cover delivery of a genuine, functioning license rather than fitness for a particular purpose. We guarantee that all software we supply is genuine and correctly licensed; if a license key we supplied fails to activate, we will resolve it with the publisher at no cost to you.
6. How to make a claim
Submit the RMA form with your invoice number, the product's serial number, and a description of the fault. We verify coverage, may run remote diagnostics to confirm the issue, and then either raise the claim with the manufacturer and coordinate repair or replacement, or issue a return authorization if the product must come back to us. You receive a single reference number and updates from one contact throughout. Please do not ship any product before an authorization number is issued, and back up and remove any data from devices before return; neither we nor the manufacturer can guarantee data preservation during repair.
7. Dead-on-arrival and early-life failures
Products that fail within 30 days of delivery are handled as a priority. Where the manufacturer's program allows, we arrange a direct replacement rather than a repair. Report dead-on-arrival units within 5 business days of delivery so that the fastest resolution options remain available.
8. Warranty on service work
Installation, configuration, migration, and repair services performed by GoldenTech KSA are warranted for 90 days from completion. If a defect in our workmanship causes a fault within that period, we will correct it at no charge. This warranty does not cover changes made by others after handover, faults in third-party products or platforms, or issues arising from information you provided that was incomplete or inaccurate. Managed-services clients are covered by the ongoing terms of their service agreement.
9. Your statutory rights
This policy is in addition to, and does not limit, any rights you have under applicable law. Where the law provides greater protection than this policy, the law applies.
